Bat House Building Workshop

Otter Creek Lake & Park , Tama County

Friday, March 6, 2020

Join a Tama County Naturalist to learn about Iowa's native bat species and why they are important. After a short presentation, each guest will have a chance to build their very own bat house. There will be a step by step tutorial on how to build the bat houses. Once each house is complete, each guest will have the option to either take their bat house home or donate it back to Tama County Conservation for us to put up within our parks. This program is open to anybody age 10 and older (under 16 with parental supervision). This program is open to any experience level from beginners to experts. This program cost $5 for each guest for cost of materials for each kit. You must RSVP with your name(s) and payment before January 24th by mailing cash or check to Tama County Conservation at 2283 Park Road Toledo, IA 52342. Attendance without RSVP will result in a shortage of materials. For questions or concerns please contact Brendan Kelly by phone at 641-484-2231 or by email at bkelly@tamacounty.org
