Rental Contract Agreement
Shelter Rental
By your agreement with these terms andconditions, you represent that you are 18 years or older and that you areauthorized to make the reservation on behalf of the group you have listed. Youfurther agree to assume full responsibility for the acts, negligence oromissions of the members of your group while utilizing said facilities.
Additionally, you agree that you have read andunderstand the CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICIES concerning this reservation,and have also read and understand the FACILITY CONTRACT information. You are reserving a facility in a Union Countypark. ALL COUNTY PARK RULES AND STATE LAWS ARE ENFORCED. Contact the ConservationBoard office if you have any questions about park rules, policies or specialrequests.
Failure to clean up with facility orsurrounding area as outlined, or failure to comply with park rules or statelaws may result in enforcement action. Union County Conservation may take anylegal action necessary to recover damages to county property.
CHECK-IN TIME: After 7:00 AM
CHECK-OUT TIME: Before 11:00 PM
CLEAN-UP
You are required to clean up the facility andgrounds and return them to the condition you received them. Plan to have yourfacility cleaned and people departed prior to your scheduled checkout time.
DIRECTIONAL SIGNS & DECORATIONS
Temporary, free standing directional signs areallowed – not to be attached to park furniture, signposts or other facilities.Decorations are allowed as long as they are free standing or not affixed in amanner that would damage a facility or any painted walls (tape, tacks, staplescan cause damage to walls. The use of a no-stick adhesive is recommended).Special care should be taken with balloons so that they do not “escape”.
BEER AND WINE
Only beer with an alcohol content of 5% orless by weight and wine with an alcohol content of 17% or less by weight may beconsumed in county parks. Drinking of these beverages is not permitted on roadsor in parking areas. Hard liquor and wine with alcohol content in excess of 17%by weight or other alcoholic liquors are NOT to be consumed in county parks.
MUSIC
Bands, disc jockeys and other amplifiedsources of sound are allowed. It is required that you work out the details foryour amplified music in advance of your event with the park ranger. All sourcesof sound must be turned off by 10:00 PM. “Quiet hours” are observed in theparks between 10:00 PM and 9:00 AM.
REFUSE
Union County Parks observe a “Carry In – CarryOut” refuse policy.
PETSPets are allowed.
Cancellation Policy
Please consider this policy prior topurchasing your facility reservation. SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO CANCEL ARESERVATION, YOU WILL FORFEIT 100% OF ALL RESERVATION FEES PAID. If youneed to cancel your reservation you have one opportunity to reschedule withinthat calendar year with no guarantees
ALL cancellations must be made by callingthe Conservation Office at (641) 347-5100.
Refund Policy
Please understand atthe time of booking your reservation that you immediately prohibit other peoplefrom reserving & utilizing that facility - they therefore go elsewhere tolocate a facility for that date. However, if you need to cancelyour reservation you have one opportunity to reschedule within that calendaryear with no guarantees. We will observe a NON-REFUNDABLE reservation fee policy with thefollowing exceptions:·
Military deployment orchange in orders, with proper documentation ·
Travel conditionswhere a substantial risk is requiredin order to travel such as a winter storm where a travel advisory has beenissued·
We are unable toprovide your facility (or like facility) in operable condition for the date ofyour event
ALL requests for refunds cannot be doneonline and must be made by calling the Conservation Office at 641-347-5100.
