\nThe Ringgold County Conservation
\nBoard invites you to the grand opening of the new Dragoon Trace Nature Center
\nin Mount Ayr on Saturday, June 24th at 2:00pm. There will be a grand
\nopening ceremony, followed by a ribbon cutting that officially opens the
\nbuilding to the public. Please join us for this momentous occasion!
\n&nbsp;

\nThe Dragoon Trace Nature Center will
\nbe a spotlight in southwest Iowa and will be the only environmental education
\nfacility in all surrounding counties. This project includes unique natural
\nresources and creative funding alliances that will enhance the cultural,
\nrecreational and educational assets in Southern Iowa and offer a diverse
\nprogram selection to the public that will cater to all ages. This project was
\nfunded by multiple grants, memorials, business and personal donations. NO LOCAL
\nTAX DOLLARS HAVE BEEN USED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE DRAGOON TRACE NATURE
\nCENTER!!

\nDragoon Trace is an historic trail that runs north and south through central
\nIowa and Missouri, including Ringgold County. It was originally made by the
\nmigration of animals, such as bison. Later used by the pioneers, this was the
\nroad to change Iowa's civilization).
