\nBremer County Conservation will be hosting a maple syrup demonstration on March 19 from 1:00pm – 2:30pm at Babcock Woods.  This demonstration will show participants how sap flows inside the tree.  The sap is collected in a bucket and then needs to be boiled down for hours before it becomes the sugary syrup that we all know.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  You may want to wear waterproof boots/shoes since the snow will be deeper in the woods.  This program is dependent on warmer days and cooler nights.  Please call 319-882-4742 to register.    <br />
