Fall Outdoor Academy at Wickiup \nHill \nTaking education outside! \nLinn County Conservation (LCC) is \noffering small group, outdoor, in-person, enrichment programs at Wickiup Hill. \nThese programs address the growing need to introduce and engage today’s youth \nin the natural world. Activities are designed to be fun, dynamic, and active \nwhile providing high quality environmental learning experiences through games, \ncrafts, stories, and in-depth nature exploration. Each Outdoor Academy session builds upon each other with different activities. Register for multiple days to help with home school learning. Cost $10. For grades K-5th.
\nDrop-off program. You will be greeted by a naturalist at the parking lot to welcome your child. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. To ensure all necessary health and safety group size will be limited to 12 students per session and social distancing guidelines will be followed. Program may be cancelled if minimum number is not reached. Students are required to bring a mask and wear it when instructed. Programs held rain, snow, or shine except in the case of severe weather. No flip-flops, crocs or any open-toed or soft-soled shoes. Wear long pants and clothes that will get dirty. In case of rain, pack a raincoat or a poncho (no umbrellas please). During the winter months, please wear layers of clothing and dress warmly.
\nWhat if I need to cancel or change my program/event/day camp registration? Please notify us ASAP if you need to add, cancel or change registrations by calling Wickiup Hill Learning Center at 319-892-6485. No refunds are given for cancellations. The cancelled spot in the program, event, or camp will be re-opened to others if appropriate.
