The \nnext fundraising event for the Nature All Around Us Art Series will be at 6 p.m. \non January 22nd at the Osborne Nature Center. Space is limited for the Resin \nJewelry Workshop, so reservations are required. Deadline to register will be \nTuesday, January 19 to ensure enough supplies are available. \n \n
\n\nParticipants \nwill learn UV resin techniques to make resin jewelry with natural things during \nthis fun workshop. Come make resin earrings out of real butterfly wings and \nthen try a few other small projects if there is time. The workshop is open to \nadults and teens. All art materials will be provided and participants will \nleave with a finished project to take home. Participants are encouraged to \nbring snacks and beverages to enjoy while they work and if possible bring their own needle nose pliers.
\nFunds \nfor this will benefit the Nature All Around Us Mural Project that was completed \nin the spring at the Osborne Nature Center by Artist Jordyn Brennan, from Upper \nIowa University. A grant through the Iowa Arts Council is funding part of this \nproject, but we still need a few matching funds to complete the grant. The Nature All Around Us Art Series is \ndesigned to inspire the imagination during educational programs and bring \nawareness and appreciation of art and nature to Osborne’s visitors. \nClass \nsize is limited to 8 participants, so register early at www.claytoncountyconservation.org. or call 563-245-1516 \nto reserve a spot. \nThe \nOsborne Center is located on Highway 13, five miles south of Elkader and is \nopen 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday.
