\nThe
\nworkshop will be led by Wildlife Biologist Kelly McKay, of the BioEco Research
\nand Monitoring Center. McKay, with assistance from Mark Roberts (Clinton County
\nConservation) and Brian Ritter (Nahant Marsh Education Center), developed the
\nBuilding Better Birders Series in an effort to advance public skills
\nidentifying birds and promote more involvement in Citizen Science. Their pilot
\nprogram in Clinton County was honored the &ldquo;Ding Darling Environmental Education
\nAward&rdquo; from the Iowa Association of Naturalists and the Iowa Conservation
\nEducation Coalition. This year McKay is expanding to other counties throughout
\nIowa. These workshops are funded through a grant from the Resource Enhancement
\nand Protection-Conservation Education Program (Reap-CEP).&nbsp; </p>
\n<p>Class
\nsize is limited to allow for social distancing. </p>
