\n<p>The Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge includes a patchwork of small native prairies, most of the refuge is the result of reconstruction efforts over more than 11,000 acres.&nbsp; Our day begins at the Prairie Learning Center to view the exhibits, take a hike on the trails and enjoy a picnic lunch.&nbsp; In the afternoon we'll head out on the 13 mile audio guided driving tour to see the bison and elk herds.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
\n<p>Participants are encouraged to register with friends to facilitate carpooling.&nbsp; We can caravan from Hurstville Interpretive Center, leaving at 8 AM.&nbsp; There is not cost for this event but donations to the refuge are encouraged.</p>
\n<p>All adults are welcome to join us for the OWLS group! (Older Wiser Livelier - in partnership with Dubuque, Jackson and Jones County)</p>
