\ncommunity of Eldon, Iowa, home of the little white house in Grant Wood&rsquo;s most
\nfamous painting American Gothic,
\ncelebrates Gothic Days in June. The American Gothic House Center invites
\nstudents and members of the public to participate in our annual art contest.</p>

\n<p>This contest is sponsored by the Ottumwa Area Arts Council and the American Gothic House Center.</p>
\n<p>Rules of Art Work:</p>
\n<p><span style="white-space: pre;">	</span>&middot;&nbsp; Must
\ninclude the American Gothic House window in some form</p>
\n<p><span style="white-space: pre;">	</span>&middot;&nbsp; 8&rdquo;
\nx 10&rdquo; or larger work- must be <strong>original AND
\ndisplay ready (mounted)</strong></p>
\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<span style="white-space: pre;">	</span></strong><span style="white-space: pre;">&middot;</span><strong><span style="white-space: pre;"></span>&nbsp;NO NAMES </strong>on the front of the artwork</p>

\nart work will be on display inside the American Gothic House or Center June 7th through the 9th, 2024</p>

\nwill be $40 for first place and $20 for second place in each division PLUS one
\n$60 gift certificate from the American Gothic House Center gift shop for Best

\nShow may be displayed in the American Gothic House Center until April of the subsequent year</p>

\nand will waive any claim of any nature whatsoever now or in the future against the Ottumwa Area Arts Council and American Gothic House Center for any loss, theft, or physical damage that may occur
\nto the art work submitted.&nbsp;</em></p>
\n<p><strong>Art work may be picked up ON OR AFTER 6/12/2024.</strong></p>
