DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=BASE64:<p>This event will meet at&nbsp;<strong>1610 Meadowlane Ave, Ames (the site of the former Carr Pool near the intersection of Carr Drive and Meadowlane Ave).</strong></p>
\n<p>Enjoy a series of five winter walks as we explore our local public parks. These walks are free and do not require registration. All walks begin at 1:30PM from our meeting area and wrap up by 3:30PM. We end our walks sharing a light snack brought by the hikers. The winter walks are led by Outdoor Alliance of Story County volunteers and are cosponsored by Story County Conservation. Contact info@oasco.org for more information.</p>
\n<p>The winter walks will wrap up earlier if the winter weather is particularly harsh and be cancelled if SCC closes its facilities due to the weather.&nbsp;</p>
\n<p>Future dates:</p>
\n<p>Thursday, January 9, 2025 : Meet at McFarland Park and park at the west edge of the gravel parking lot.&nbsp;</p>
\n<p>Thursday, January 16, 2025: Meet at the Ronald "Dick" Jordan Family Wildlife Area (Jordan Acres) on the northeast side of the river.</p>
\n<p>Thursday, January 23, 2025: Meet at Jennett Heritage.</p>
\n<p>Thursday, January 30, 2025: Meet at East Peterson Park in the first lot you come to.</p>
