DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=BASE64:<p><strong>This program has been cancelled.</strong></p>\n<p>Join us, and our partners from\nMustard Seed Farms, for a beginner gardening workshop series to learn all of\nthe basics to starting your own backyard garden. Whether you just need a place\nto start or need to develop a little greener thumb, this beginner gardening\nseries is for you. Our goal is to go through each season to help you, and your\ngarden, grow with confidence and success!&nbsp; &nbsp;<strong> If you attend all four you\nwill receive a gift card to a local Greenhouse!&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>\n<strong>Part one (January 25th):</strong> The\nfirst session is all about gathering the information and tools you need to get\nstarted in the winter, designing and preparing your garden, soil health, indoor\nseed preparation.</p>\n<p>\n<strong>Part two (April\n6th)</strong>: The\nspring session will be about planting your garden, transplanting seed starts, watering,\nand weeding. We will also explore the best practices for maintaining a healthy\ngarden once its growing and some of the tools you can use to make gardening\ntasks more efficient.</p>\n<p><strong>Part three (June\n28th)</strong>: During\nthe thick of the summer growing season we will check in to see how the gardens\nare growing. We will discuss garden tending, watering, weeding, diseases that\nmight affect your plants, and critters that you might see in your garden as\nwell. We will also dive into harvest techniques and how to tell when to pick\nproduce, as well as what tasty recipes to use with what you grew. We might\nbriefly talk about annuals vs perennials and briefly discuss commonly used\nflowers/ plants in hanging baskets and planters as well.\n</p>\n<p>\n<strong>Part four (September\n13th)</strong>: Our last\nsession will focus on fall harvest and preserving the harvest. We invite you to\nbring in produce to swap with other participants if you like. We will have\nproduce and food to sample as well as recipes to take with. We will share stories\nof how our gardening seasons went and discuss harvest techniques. We will also\nlearn about the basics to canning and preserving your leftover produce.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Cancellation Policy:\nUnless otherwise stated, refunds can be issued less a $5.00 processing fee per\nevent for cancellations prior to the registration deadline.
