Calling all 8 to 12 year olds with a love for the outdoors! This is the level 1 Junior Naturalist Camp for those that have not attended a Butler CCB junior naturalist camp in the past.
\nWe will spend this week learning skills such as basic survival, archery, fire starting, basic canoeing/kayaking, and much more while exploring the great outdoors. Upon completion of \nthis camp, campers will receive a Junior Naturalist badge. \nSpace is limited, so register early.
\nThe cost is $50 per child, and camp will \ntake place at various county conservation parks throughout the week. A camp letter will be sent to all registrants in May with all details for campers.
\nCamp will run from 8:00 to 3:00 daily.
\nCampers will need to bring \na lunch and refillable water bottle each day except Thursday - when a lunch will be provided. Daily snacks and all other camp \nmaterials are included in the price of camp.
\nRegistration is required online only, and space is limited so register early. Camp forms must be downloaded from the camp description page, filled out and returned via e-mail to awittrock@butlercounty.iowa.gov within two weeks of receiving your registration confirmation.
\nWe will begin taking registrations March 2, 2026. If you are a paid member of "The Friends of Butler County Conservation," you will receive a code for $5 off registration.
