Experience the wonder of a prairie filled with flashing fireflies on a night hike led by a naturalist!
\nThis night hike will cover over 2.5 miles over mostly flat terrain. We recommend people bring flashlights/headlamps, but reserve them for emergencies to enjoy the dark night naturally. We’ll have some jars kids can use to catch (and release) fireflies along the way.
\nWe take photos during our public events. If you do not wish to be in any photos, please send an advance email to the contact listed.
\nRegistration automatically closes one day in advance. If you are fully registered, you can expect to receive an email "receipt" from MyCountyParks after registration. You will also receive an email from the leading naturalist a couple days in advance of the program. If you do not receive these emails, you may not be registered; call 319-645-1011 for assistance in this case. **Please note, our pre emails have regularly been sorted into spam/junk mail recently.
