DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=BASE64:<p>Let&rsquo;s Build Snowshoes!\n&nbsp; Linn County Conservation will offer the opportunity for you to build a\npair of traditional snowshoes led by Naturalist Chuck Ungs.&nbsp; You can use\nthese sets for hiking, decorations, or unique gifts. &nbsp; Participants must\nregister on-line and pay the $10 registration fee by November 25 at 4 p.m. to\nhold a spot in the course. The remainder is due by check made out to Linn County\nTreasurer prior to the 4 PM deadline on Dec. 2, so we can order the kits. The\nremaining cost is $230 per kit.&nbsp;The $240 total class fee includes the cost\nof a snowshoe kit, a binding set and varnish for each participant.\n</p>\n<p>\nThe evening weaving\nsessions are held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on December 10, 15, and 17 at the Wickiup\nHill Learning Center. Additional sessions will be needed to varnish the shoes\nat the Linn County Conservation Department Services Shop at 1891 Prospect Drive, Marion (near the corner of Highway 13 and County Home Road) in the week or so following\nsnowshoe construction and between the Holidays.&nbsp; </p>\n<p>Attendance at all three lacing\nsessions is highly recommended for best results. Kit building typically\nrequires the manual dexterity of someone high school age or older.
