\n<p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;">Join Naturalist Jesse Matt for a citizen survey of Iowa&rsquo;s freshwater mussels at the Motor Mill Historic Site. Participants should meet at 4:00 pm at the Motor Mill inn and will access the river at the base of the mill.</span></p>
\n<p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br />
\nThis interactive community survey will teach participants about the ecology and importance of freshwater mussels. Volunteers and staff will work together to find and identify mussels near Motor Mill. Participants should bring sandals, swim suits, and plan on navigating at least 3 feet of river water. Minors are welcome but should be accompanied by an adult and are encouraged to wear life jackets. </span></p>
