\nThis is a hands-on session to help you connect your
\nchildren (and you) with the world just outside their door.

\nReconnecting
\nNature with Children - Growing Up WILD workshops leads you out the door,
\nprovides hands-on activities, and resource materials to lead your own nature explorations.
\n&nbsp;Growing Up WILD activities use age appropriate activities and
\nconcepts to build on children&rsquo;s sense of wonder and invites them to explore
\nnature and the world around them. &nbsp;Specially written for children ages 3
\nto 7, activities include sections to address many learning areas: math,
\nscience, language, literacy, health living, play, and creativity.
\n<br />
\n<br />
\nThe
\nGrowing Up WILD activity guide is a culmination of work by natural
\nresource agencies, early childhood professionals, and educators.
\n&nbsp;Activities have been correlated to national standards for early childhood
\neducation &ndash; NAEYC Criteria for Curriculum and Head Start Child Outcomes
\nFramework.&nbsp; Additional correlations are available to Iowa Early
\nChildhood program and curriculum standards &ndash; Iowa Quality Preschool Program
\nStandards, Iowa Early Learning Standards, and Iowa Core Concepts &amp;
\nSkills.

\nHamilton, Humboldt, or Wright county due to the funding. Each participant will
\nreceive the Growing Up Wild activity guide and many handouts!&nbsp; This
\nworkshop is approved for 4.0 DHS clock hours.
