The Butterfly Festival is held
by the Nature Center at the
end of August. Enjoy our
Butterfly House & Gardens
while participating in activities
and getting a bite to eat. Also,
help us tag Monarchs as part
of the University of Kansas
Monarch Watch Program.

The Dickinson County Nature Center at Kenue Park opened
its doors in the summer of 2010.This building is a beautiful
example of a renovated recycled structure. The interior is
spacious and a comfortable place to relax and learn about nature
through changing displays and viewing the expansive wild spaces
surrounding the building.
Some of the other Dickinson County outdoor attractions are:
hiking trails, camping, public swimming, a beach area, fishing,
kayaking, hunting, public programs, bird watching, geocaching,
snow shoeing, sledding, & cross-country skiing.

for family indoor and outdoor
activities. The Nature Center
puts on Soup Fest during
Okoboji Winter Games at the
end of January.
Dickinson
