6-month seasonal position under general supervision of the Director and direct supervision of the Operations Manager, Park Ranger, and/or Naturalist.  Duties include mowing, weed eating, cleaning of facilities, facility and park maintenance, public relations, interaction with park visitors and other duties as required.  Preferred experience in operation of equipment such as mowers, trimmers, skid loaders, tractors, chain saws and hand tools. Job duties require a considerable amount of physical activity, including walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, stooping and climbing. Employee must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and possess the coordination and manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment involved in maintenance, construction and repair tasks.  May work a non standard work week with some night, weekend and holiday work required.  May assist the county Naturalist when needed with recreational or educational programming.  This is a 6-month seasonal position running from April 1 to September 30 and will not exceed 40 hours per week. Professionalism and good public relations are essential, as is time management. Internships may qualify for college credit.  Job performance evaluations will be completed.
