GIS TECHNICIANDescription: This seasonal position will run approximately May through August (negotiable) 2020 and will offer opportunities to survey Benton County Conservation Board properties as well as work with seasonal staff on various projects.  Duties: Collect data points, develop specialty maps for public use, and take surveys for all properties. Assist in other duties as needed. Must be familiar with or learn how to operate Integrity and ArcGIS. AGarmin, Mobile Mapper, and Spectra Precision will be used in the field.  Qualifications: Either enrolled in or have a degree in a natural resource field, GIS, or related field is preferred.  Applicants should have the ability to work with minimal to no supervision, pass a background check, establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public, organizations, and co-workers, handle multiple tasks and evolving priorities, and work a flexible schedule, including workingsome nights and weekends and assisting in other projects. The applicant must also possess a valid driver’s license, have the ability to get to and from the work-site, use hand and small power tools, andbe physically able to work in extreme conditions (heat, humidity, steep terrain, etc.).  Schedule: 32-hour work weekSalary: $11/hourApplication Procedure: Applicants should send a completed application, current resume, and three references, by mail or email to the address below.
