Seasonal Position

Bait Shop Attendant 

Position:  Multiple, Seasonal Part-time positions under the direct supervision of BVCCB’s Director as they assist with all aspects of operation, maintenance and enhancement of the Linn Grove Bait Shop and Park.

EMPLOYMENT PERIOD:  Current operating hours are April thru October, 12:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., Monday- Friday, 7 A.M. – 7 P.M. on weekends, split shifts on weekends. Hours subject to change. Part-time positions average 20 hours per week but is flexible.  Flexibility in employment period for college students.

Salary:  $9.00-$11.00 per hour DOE with no benefits, uniform shirts provided.

Work Schedule:  Shifts will primarily be afternoon/evenings during the week and either morning or afternoon/evening shifts on weekends.  Must be available to work holidays and weekends.

Duties:  Including, but not limited to, operating cash register, inventory and stocking of merchandise, selling and stocking of bait, providing information to the public, enforcing park rules, administer canoe rentals, and cleaning of restrooms and facilities. Other duties may include, mowing and string trimming, painting, and other maintenance tasks as assigned.

Requirements:  Ability to routinely stand, walk, sit, kneel, stoop, and  balance, routinely lift 50 lbs., follow written and oral instructions, operate cash register, count back change, and complete end of day sales.

Qualifications:  Must be 16 years of age and possess a valid driver's license
