Description
The Trail / Natural Resource Technician position will manage / maintain the land and water trail systems throughout Webster County. This position will also assist with land management activities under the control of the Conservation Board, Iowa Department of Natural Resources and the City of Fort Dodge. This position will be generally 40 hours / week Monday - Friday but may include occasional nights, weekends and holidays. Applicant should have a minimum 2 year degree in the Natural Resources field or a minimum of 2 years work experience in natural resource management or trail maintenance. Applicants must have a valid Driver's License and the ability to obtain various Commercial Herbicide Applicator Certifications within 6 months of hire along with Wildland Fire Certifications, ATV Safety and IDNR Basic Paddling Certifications as well. Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited 2 year college with major in natural resources or related field or a minimum of 2 years work experience in natural resource mgmt. Valid drivers license.
