Description
DIRECTOR,
Lyon County Conservation Board.
DESCRIPTION: Permanent
full-time position. This position is responsible for developing,
directing, and evaluating the administrative, operations/maintenance,
recreational services, capital development, and trusts for the department.
Primary management of Lake Pahoja Recreation Area and 16 additional areas
consisting of 2,120 acres. This position directly supervises the
management staff. Applicant should be familiar with development,
acquisition, maintenance, and management of parks, environmental education, and
natural resource areas. Applicant should be experienced in personnel
management, budgeting, planning, and able to work with the general
public. This position is exempt under the FLS Act.
QUALIFICATIONS: Law
enforcement certification with the ILEA or ability to become certified is
required. A Bachelor’s Degree with a major field of study related to park
management, wildlife/fisheries management, outdoor recreation, public
administration, or related field is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience
in supervision or administration of park and/or natural resources. Must be a
resident of Lyon County or able to become a resident within 30 days of hire.

SALARY: Salary range
$61,500 - $70,000 based upon experience. Standard county benefits and
uniform allowance included.
