Apply now for youth spring turkey hunting at the Tosanak Recreation Area
The Floyd County Conservation Board has approved youth turkey hunting for the 2022 spring season. There will be 5 (five) permits issued for youth hunters. The Board is now accepting applications until midnight on March 30th. The public drawing will be held on March 31st at 8 a.m. at the Fossil & Prairie Center, 1227 215th Street, Rockford.
The area open for this limited season will be south of the designated refuge line and 40 acres east along the Shell Rock River. Youth hunters will be assigned a designated site and will be able to hunt during all turkey seasons in addition to the youth season.
