Hartman Reserve Nature Center naturalists offer a Road Trip Spring Break Camp every year as a way for kids to get out of the house and see some of the coolest, lesser known destinations in Iowa. We provide all transportation and admission fees for all the locations we travel to. Each day we go to different, unique locations! We offer a mix of education, adventure and exploration! Sign up for individual days or you can sign up for the entire week to receive a discount! If you are interested in signing up for the entire week, please call or stop by the Nature Center to process your child's registration. At this time, we are unable to do this online. The cost for per day is $40/child. The cost for the entire week is $175/child. If your child has a key card, please call the Nature Center for details. This camp is for kids ages 10-14.
Talon Tuesday!
Kids will take a trip to Muscatine County Conservation to get up close and personal with live raptors! We will also explore Wildcat Den State Park. Wildcat is famous for its magnificent Mississippi River bluffs. We'll play the most epic game of hide-in-seek in the Devil's Punch Bowl! Wildcat Den also sports one of the oldest grist mills in the country!
What to Bring:
- Lunch
- Refillable water bottle
- Closed-toed shoes
- Dress for the weather (jacket, sweatshirt, winter coat, etc)
- Closed-toed shoes that can get dirty (or boots!)
- Activity for the car
- Bag to put their stuff in
- Optional: snacks, money for gift shops
*Refund Policy: Refunds will only be given in the case of a documented medical emergency or funeral for programs more than $10. If program cost is under $10, a program voucher will be offered for a future program. If a program is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen reasons, then a similar program will be offered in its place.
