Complete Rod Building Workshop ~ 9 AM ~ Rock
Creek ~ Custom Rod Builders, Garry Land and Ryan Waltz will be on hand to help
you complete your very own 6’6” custom spinning rod for only $75, just register
on mycountyparks.com. You will be reaming out the cork handle to threading on
the guides. This project will take a few hours depending on skill level but
rods must stay overnight, to be picked up at a future time for the epoxy to
harden on the spinners, the center is open Thursday -Sunday, 8am-4pm or make arrangements with one of the staff. The camp store will be open to purchase food and drink
during the day or bring your own.
No children under 12 and even that age, you may want to do it as a partner project. It takes a lot of time and patience.
Grow out your thumbnails out a bit to help push the thread around.
You may want to bring a head lamp or desk lamp for extra lighting.
If you need a little help with magnification, some cheaters might be helpful.
Bring your own food/drink if you want or buy from camp store/cafe.
