McMahon Access


McMahon Access is a 35 acre area developed to improve accessibility to the North Raccoon River.  The 35 acres is part of a larger state-owned area that combined creates a 287 acre wildlife management area.  The area is entirely forested.  The river access area includes a concrete boat ramp, parking area and a fishng riffle.  Nearly two miles of the North Raccoon runs through McMahon Access.  The Brown Bridge boat ramp is 6.8 miles upstream and the Eureka Bridge Acess boat ramp is 4.1 miles downstream.

Location

The McMahon Access boat ramp and fishing riffle are located three miles east of Scranton on 230th Street.

Operating Hours & Seasons

McMahon Access is open all year long.  Hours are 5:30 A.M. to 10:30 P.M., except for fishermen who may fish 24 hours a day.
