35 mile trip down the Wisconsin and Mississippi Rivers

16 active and adventurous adult individuals are sought to share a grand paddling expedition in our 29 foot Voyageur canoes. We will travel from 9 AM till 4 PM each day taking breaks as time and progress allow. These boats can easily make 5 mph in the Mississippi’s main channel. There will be time for hiking in adjacent preserves, swimming and fishing. Our stretch is considered the least traveled of the Lower Wisconsin River Waterway. Camping on beaches in close proximity to public landings. Each participant will bring their own food, water and ay other essentials.

We will carpool to and from landings meeting at Clayton Iowa at 10 AM on June 20. Leaving as many vehicles behind as possible and heading for Boscobel Wisconsin. Once back at Clayton we’ll run the drivers back to Boscobel for their vehicles.

We will hold an orientation paddle on June 12th at 2:00 PM (location tba) were participants will experience the boats and other gear provided and be given instruction on what to include in their personal supplies. Tents, sleeping bags, cook ware, mess kits and stoves are available for use or you may use your own.
