Prairie Flower Bouquet Making

With deep root systems and the ability to create unique habitats, prairies play a vital role in the lives of plants, animals, and even humans.
Join in as we take a relaxing stroll through the prairie at the Hurstville Interpretive Center identifying prairie plants, learning about their history, and gathering plants. Then head inside and construct your bouquet, learning tips and tricks along the way. Leave with a beautiful array of flowers, and a deeper fondness to Iowa's prairies.
Participants may bring their own vase/ mason jar, or be provided with newspaper and twine. All ages are welcomed, geared towards older audiences. Registration is required.
