3/25/19: Mississippi River is projected to rise through the month of April. As of now we don't anticipate opening the park until May 15, 2019.

 

Surrounded by water, this 14-acre park makes for an ideal spot for all water-related sports. A concrete boat ramp and public dock provide easy access to South Sabula Lake and the Mississippi River.



Location

South Sabula Lake Park is located at the southern most end of South Avenue in Sabula. Take highway 52/64 into Sabula. Go south on Broad Street, which turns into South Avenue. Follow South Ave into South Sabula Lake Park.

Note: The rail bridge coming into the park has a maximum clearance of 12' 8" to be able to enter the park. The park will close when the water levels cover the entry road, approximately 17' of river height. 

All out of COUNTY firewood is prohibited unless clearly marked with the certification of being Emerald Ash Borer free. Please buy it where you'll burn it.

Reservations: Go to Facilities to make a campsite reservation. Reservations must be made 5 days in advance: if you'd like a site for Friday night, have your reservation made by Sunday night. Reservations must be made online.



Operating Hours & Seasons

Park is open April 1 - October 31.

Shower building is open April 15 - October 15 (water is turned off October 15 - April 15).

Park open to visitors 6:00 AM to 10:30 PM. Campers only after 10:30 PM.

Campground attendants are available May - September.



Closures

Park is closed November - March.
