Jewels of the Prairie

The summer flush of prairie flowers is an unmatched ecological spectacle. Outreach Coordinator, Jessie will lead kiddos through a 2 day prairie scavenger hunt at our very special Tallgrass Prairie Remnant at Criss Cove. Campers will collect seeds, caterpillars, and wild edibles. Explorations will focus on the relationships between the sun, plants and animals and the biological life on the prairie. Kiddos will come home with a wildflower bouquet to share with their family on the last day.
