Join PCCB Naturalist Rene Stroud & Pheasants Forever biologist and experienced birder Nic Salick for a new program on Saturday, February 3rd at 8:00 a.m.

Breakfast with the Birds will include a complimentary breakfast for birding enthusiasts. Our presenters will be discussing native bird species and behavior as participants view species commonly spotted near the Loess Hills Lodge. Participants will also be invited to join our Bird Banding Demonstration for a live song bird banding as well.

Hitchcock's nearly 1,300 acre park was names Iowa's first "Important Bird Area" by the Audubon Society and features Loess Hills woodland, oak savanna, and open prairie settings providing a broad range of habitats that support a diverse avian population.This program can accommodate people of all experience levels but is intended for beginning birders with limited or no field experience.

The fee for this program is $15.00 per person. Pre-registration is required as space is limited. Register online in minutes. Please call 712-545-3283 for more details, registrations will not be taken over the phone.

While this event is appropriate for all ages it is not pet friendly. Please leave your canine friends at home. Service animals are always welcome. Please meet at the Loess Hills Lodge at Hitchcock Nature Center.
