Walk on the wild side during KinderNature Camp August 5th through 9th. Our final August KinderNature Camp, Bodacious Bugs, will be held Friday, August 9th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Hitchcock Nature Center. Bugs are such an important part of our ecosystem and while they aren't exactly cute & cuddly we couldn't live without them. Explore different species of bugs you see in western Iowa, explore their unique compound eye, learn what it is they do for us every day, and find out what is cute and cuddly about these six-legged friends.
KinderNature Camps are offered in 5 day series from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. each day and campers may register either for all 5 sessions or only the sessions of their choice. Geared toward our youngest campers our KinderNature Camps are designed for children ages 3, 4 & 5 who have not completed Kindergarten. Campers must be 3 years old by May 1st of the current camp year to attend. Each day of camp includes indoor & outdoor exploration, hands on activities, a snack, crafts, and lots of fun!
Cost is $15.00 per camper per day & online pre-registration is required to attend.

Thursday, August 8th - Tree-rific Trackers
Friday, August 9th - Bodacious Bugs

Please download our camp waiver form below in "Related Items" and return by email or USPS before camp or bring the completed form with you on the first day of camp.
