Good Neighbor Iowa is a community driven, educational initiative working to transform lawn culture to encourage adoption of and appreciation for diverse lawns as a way to protect child health, water quality, pets, pollinators, and biodiversity. Home owners can begin with their own lawn. Pledge to reduce chemical pesticide use proven to harm human and pet health and embrace violets, dandelions, clover, and other lawn flora for the benefits they provide. Communities can also participate – schools, churches, city parks, businesses – all can help create urban safe play areas and wildlife oasis. Plan to join at Fontana Nature Center In-Person or virtually. Presenter will be virtual.
