Buffalo Creek Park

Buffalo Creek Park and Campground

Buffalo Creek Park is located in northeast Linn County, just west of Coggon on County Road D62 (1825 Coggon Road).  Among many other wildflowers, one of the largest populations of blue belles in the area can be found in this 143-acre park, first developed in 1962.

A major revitalization in 2023 has led to an improved park experience at Linn County Conservation's oldest park. The upgrades include a new playground and a reservable open-aired shelter. With the addition of 15 acres of land west of the current campground, 18 new campsites (and Campground Host site) have been added with electric and water hook-ups. A new shower house and restroom facility are also included with the improvements.  The Linn County Land Water and Land Legacy Bonds and Capital Reserves funded the renovations.
