Journey to the rolling, scenic landscape of Madison
County. Our first stop is the award
winning John Wayne Birthplace and Museum. Enjoy a short documentary of the
famous actor and tour his birthplace home. We will then tour the unique Iowa
Quilt Museum in downtown Winterset. Lunch will be a “farm to table” experience
at the Henry A. Wallace farm. Learn the
important family legacy of the Wallace family to agriculture and conservation
in Iowa. We will stop at the famous
Roseman Covered Bridge featured in the “Bridges of Madison County” movie. Participants will have free time to explore
the many unique shops in downtown Winterset.
The refurbished Iowa Theatre will feature a short movie showing clips
from films made in Iowa and actors from Iowa.
The Rusty Stars Alpaca’s farm will be our final stop of the day to feed
these unique animals. Bring your
