APPLICATION PERIOD EXTENDED TILL 12PM ON MAY 26 If selected, you will begin your journey with a training day on June 21 at McFarland Park. At training, you will get a glimpse of back country camping: practice hiking with a loaded pack, learn to use the gear, and find out how to prepare for the adventure. Backpacking is a very physical activity, so you will want to be in decent shape before we leave. SCC will provide backpacks, tents, water filters, stoves, cookware, camp fees and permits, and food.
