Register your team of up to 8 for this fun, all ages event on Saturday, May 12th. Learn how to use a GPS unit and then hit the trails on to seek out caches and solve puzzles. Family teams will be assigned staggered start times between 9:00 & 11:30 a.m.
Each group will learn how to use a
GPS to unit to navigate to various locations where you will discover puzzles, mysteries, or problems to solve in order to find the location
of your next GPS destination. There are two levels to choose from; tricky
(where the terrain and problems are moderate) and trickiest (where the terrain
and problems are difficult).
Teams will begin at the lodge with
a short introduction to using a GPS unit and the day’s objective, then they
will be sent onto the trails.
All ages are welcome to participate and there will be various levels of difficulty to choose from but all levels will require hiking on uneven terrain, strollers are not recommended for use on the trails.

Attendees must purchase a $3.00 per vehicle daily entrance pass or have a membership to the Pottawattamie Conservation Foundation to attend this program. Daily passes may be purchased with exact change or check at the front gate and may be purchased the day of the event. Pottawattamie Conservation Foundation memberships may be purchased for $20.00 from staff at any of our parks or at the Loess HIlls Lodge at Hitchcock Nature Center during regular business hours. There is no additional fee to attend this program, free will donations are encouraged and will support continued programming opportunities in Pottawattamie County.
While this event is not pet friendly, please leave your canine friends at home. Service animals are always welcome.
