Geocache Egg Hunt

McFarland Park, Story County

Saturday, April 16, 2022

Your family will love this new-age way of hunting eggs. Join Naturalist Jess Lancial to learn how to use a GPS, then go search the woods to find the Conservation Bunny’s nests of hidden treasures. Discover prizes, candy, and nature’s treasures along the way, being sure to keep a watchful eye for the “golden egg,” which earns you a special prize. Spots are limited, so register early! Fee is $5 per collector. Each collector will be allowed to find one egg from five different locations throughout the park. Any child attending the program (between ages 3-14yrs) will be considered a collector. Any person(s) under the age of 3, or over the age of 14 is asked not to collect eggs.

Group size can be unlimited as long it is understood there is only 1 GPS/group. Groups larger than 8 or more individuals may be recommended to register as 2 groups to allow for an additional GPS unit. If you would like multiple GPS units per group less than 8, be sure to register them separately.

Register by April 4th at 4 pm.
