Summer Skills: River Stomp

Peterson Park, Story County

Thursday, July 8, 2021

Wade the river, explore sand bars, and search for critters in the pools and shallows. Be ready to get your feet wet--maybe muddy--and have fun! Wear clothes that can get wet and dirty, and closed-toe shoes that can get wet and will not come off your feet; no flip flops. Please bring a full water bottle, and apply sunscreen before arrival. Masks are required. Event will be canceled in the case of adverse weather conditions or high water levels.

This camp is for children who have completed grades 5 & up in the spring of 2021.

Registration begins May 3rd at 6 pm, and closes on June 21st at 4 pm.

Our top priority has been and will continue to be the health and well-being of the public and the staff. In response to COVID-19, Story County Conservation programs will adhere to social distancing, smaller group size, increased sanitation, and we recommend face coverings when social distancing is not possible or while indoors. Pre-registration will be required when group size needs to be limited due to the facility or location.
