Join area astronomers as they take in the majesty of the annual Perseid Meteor Shower. This year's shower will peak the evening of August 12th so come out to Hitchcock Nature Center & view up to 50 meteors an hour!

Participants are asked to meet at the park entrance.  Blankets, lawn chairs, binoculars & telescopes are welcome, and don't forget the insect repellent! Picnic dinners are also welcome but we ask that no alcohol be consumed during this family program.  We also ask that dogs not accompany their people during this event due to the number of participants.

There is no fee for this event & no pre-registration required.  Free will donations will be accepted to support continued programming. W eather permitting.
