Join us for an introductory backpacking trip along the Ice Age Trail! Learn about backcountry skills during this County Conservation Naturalist led trip!

Calling all adults - join Dubuque & Jackson County Naturalists for an introductory backpacking trip on the Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin! Learn more about backpacking, camping, cooking over a stove, and backcountry skills.
Trip Dates: Tues-Thurs July 16-18, 2024
Location: Ice Age Trail, Chippewa County, Wisconsin
Ages: 18 and older
Mandatory Pre-Trip Meeting: Sunday, July 7 from 2:00-4:00 PM (location TBD)
Participants will need to complete this google form and submit payment by July 1st. We are accepting participants on a first-come-first-served basis. Once you complete the google form, we will email you a medical form to complete and return.

Participants must be 18 years of age or older and be able to:- hike 25+ miles during the 3-day/2-night trip- sleep in a tent on the ground (sleeping pad optional - you have to carry it!)- carry 40+ pounds while hiking (you are responsible for carrying your personal gear + some of the group gear).
Backpacks, tents, group gear, and other equipment provided. A packing list will be provided. Guided trip led by staff with Dubuque & Jackson County Conservation departments.
