Wood Duck is an open-air shelter with the capacity to seat 100 people. The beautiful surroundings, combined with a playground, make this an ideal place to hold any of your events.
Additional tents, dunk tanks, bouncy houses or any other additional structures are prohibited.
This shelter may be reserved up to one week in advance by calling a Park Ranger at 319-493-9367.
(NOTE: The location of this facility is within the flood plain of the river and is subject to flooding.)
Wood Duck is open from spring through fall, weather permitting.
Wood Duck Shelter is open for use.
Please contact the Black Hawk County Conservation Board as soon as possible if you need to cancel.
Should you decide to cancel, there are no refunds. The rental fee will be refunded in full when cancellation occurs due to circumstances beyond the Conservation Board’s control (i.e., fire, natural disasters, damaged facility).
