Located between highway 30 and interstate 80 in South West Iowa lies Audubon County.  The ACCB (Audubon County Conservation Board) takes pride in their ownership and land stewardship of various recreation and natural resource areas throughout the county.  The ACCB manages just over 500 acres spread throughout the region including different natural resource areas, parks, and trail systems.

Littlefield Recreation Area is owned and operated by the Audubon County Conservation Board (ACCB).  Its 444 acres provide many types of recreational opportunities. Some of these include: ·

Littlefield also contains a 70-acre man- made lake that offers outstanding Crappie, Bluegill, Perch, Channel Catfish, Carp, and Largemouth Bass fishing.  The lake is restricted to electric motors only, and anglers can find a fish cleaning table on the south side of the boat ramp parking lot.

Audubon County is one of the prime areas in the state for pheasant hunting and holds a few quail as well. Although it is one of the smaller counties in Iowa, if its hunting you are after, there is no shortage of game.  Along with pheasants and quail Audubon County is home to a few other game species. White-tail deer and turkey can be found roaming around a few properties of the ACCB’s while different species of waterfowl can be found throughout the county also.  Places to hunt and fish are listed below: ·

  • Edwards Park
