Three Mile Lake is currently (on 6/20/25) 10’ low due to the lake renovation project that occurred last year.  The project has been complete since January 2025 but with the sparse precipitation this spring and summer the lake has remained low. 

The Union County Conservation Board is located in south-central Iowa and is home to the 3350-acre Three Mile Lake Recreation Area. The Union County Conservation Board manages a total of 9 parks, recreation, and wildlife areas encompassing 3,790 acres about the county. Union County's High Lakes offer an array of outdoor recreational opportunities unmatched in south central Iowa. Five lakes and 2,500 acres of publicly owned woodland and prairie ... all conveniently located within a 20 mile radius. Come and Enjoy!
