The Dallas County Conservation Board’s mission is to protect, preserve, and enhance our natural resources by providing opportunities to improve the public’s quality of life through environmental education, ecosystem management, outdoor recreation, and historic preservation. Just minutes from Iowa’s state capital, visitors can explore the wilds of Dallas County’s parks, wildlife refuges, conservation areas, and the Raccoon River Valley Trail.
