Two positions are available with different acres of focus. These positions will be in addition to an existing Conservation Technician making our Conservation Technicians a team of three.

The Audubon County Conservation Board is seeking an individual to fill a new position of Trail Manager. This position will be responsible for the maintenance and operations of 17 miles of hard surface recreation trail and 5 miles of grass hiking trails. This individual will be responsible for mowing, sweeping, snow removal, tree care, trail surface and bridge maintenance.

Hamilton County is seeking a qualified Park Ranger for Briggs Woods Park located near Webster City, Iowa. Briggs Woods is the oldest county park in Iowa and consists of 460 acres nestled in along the Boone River with heavily timbered terrain. With 82 campsites, 7 cabins, multiple shelters, a 55 acre lake and an 18 hole golf course, this park is very active with public use.

Calhoun County Conservation is seeking a Campground Host for the 2024 season at Featherstone Memorial Park. A free lake side camping spot is given as well as a monthly stipend and a possible bonus at the end of the camping season.

The seasonal position includes responsible experience as an assistant to the Area Resource Manager. The position includes some supervision of park maintenance personnel, a wide variety of park maintenance duties, park rule enforcement and interaction with park visitors.
