Looking to meet your badge requirements? Look no further! Hartman Reserve Nature Center will be hosting a Scouts Night Out! Created for those who are Junior, Cadettes, or Webelos.

 

What's Covered?

1. We will look up to the stars and learn about the night sky, including discovering more about constellations. Scouts will be able to discover the planets and learn about our solar system as well as create their own star chart to take home. 
2. Take a night hike! Use your senses to observe what's around you and what animals may come out at night. Learn how to prep for a hike and the principals of Leave No Trace. 

 

The topics will be designed to meet or begin the following badges or requirements:

• Night Owl
• Space Science Investigator
• Webelos Walkabout
• Into the Wild
• Trail Adventurer
• Animal Habitats

 

Cost is $5/scout. Please contact your local scout office for badges associated with these requirements as we will not be providing physical badges. Parents are welcome to stay at no cost. Dress for the outdoors and please bring your own flash light if able.
*If an adult will not be attending with a child, you must fill out a waiver.

 

 

*Refund Policy: Refunds will only be given in the case of a documented medical emergency or funeral for programs more than $10. If program cost is under $10, a program voucher will be offered for a future program. If ​a program is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen reasons, then a similar program will be offered in its place.​​​
