What do Ruffed Grouse, Henslow's Sparrow, and the Variable Darner have in common? They're all listed as Iowa species of greatest conservation need (SGCN), and they're all found at Osborne Park!

Come out to the Osborne Pond on Saturday, September 18th to learn how Clayton County Conservation manages habitat to provide for these special creatures, and what you can do on your own property to help them stick around. Participants should come prepared for a roughly two-mile hike; sturdy shoes, long pants, and water are recommended.

For more information, call 245-1516 or visit www.ClaytonCountyConservation.org. The Osborne Pond is approximately five miles south of Elkader, IA along Highway 13.
