Eco Printing on Silk Scarves

Wednesday, January 31st ~ Eco Printing on Silk Scarves ~ 5:30 PM ~ Rock Creek This is a contact dye technique using leaves and metal salts. After we bundle the scarves and leaves, the process needs to simmer for 1.5 hours. You can either stick around for that time to learn about turmeric sun printing and how to make a purple/gray dye from blue spruce, or you can go home and pick up your scarf at a later date. You must register for this $10 class on this website.

This is only open for 10 registrations for the debut of this presentation, you may bring a guest to help you. Just make sure to mention it in your notes when you register or call/txt 563-212-0955 to let Naturalist Jess know. Your guest can be a child but around the 12 year old age, you know your child best that they have patience/interest and can follow safety rules with heat.

The presentation fee is $10/scarf.
