Primitive site D is designated a reservable youth group camping site. The site can be reserved by organized youth groups ONLY (Church, 4H, Scouts or other organized youth groups, as approved). If not reserved on a given weekend, it reverts to a regular walk up site.
Rules For Reserving Site D:
1. You must be an organized youth group or club (Church, 4H, Scouts, etc...)
2. Visit www.mycountyparks.com and set up a free account.
3. Email conservation@dmcounty.com with your email address, club / group name and dates you would like reserved.
4. You will receive and email confirmation once the reservation has been made.
Location
Big Hollow Recreation area is located at 18853 152nd Ave., Sperry, IA 52650. Google Map. At the stop sign, turn West into campground from 152nd Ave.

Shelter house available. Fire ring, benches & grills all on-site. Firewood is available for purchase from the camp host.

There is no charge for organized groups to use this site. Please review the rules listed above to make a reservation. Any reservation made outside of these rules will be rejected. If not reserved on a given weekend, it reverts to a regular walk up site at $10 per tent.

Park Hours: 6:00 am – 10:30 pm
Camping Check-In: After 3 pm on your arrival day
Camping Check-Out: Before 3 pm on your departure day

Walk up only from end of October - beginning of April.
